NJEMU coffee estate is a brain child of Simon Nyaga Njeru and his wife Irene Wangui Nyaga. The Estate is located at the slopes of Mount Kenya in Kirinyaga County approximately 104 Kilometers from the capital city Nairobi,Kenya). Its altitude stands at an elevation of about 5,523 ft.(1,625-1,675 metres) above sea level.

Founded in 1997, the Guchienda Estate is owned and operated by the Mati brothers (Edwin and Benson), and their mother, Esther. Located 10 km from Embu town, the farm is blessed with fresh water from the Giachangi River which flows from the slopes of Mt. Kenya. Processing at the Guchienda Estate Wet Mill adheres to stringent, quality-driven methods.
